Terms of service

These are the rules for using Vilko. Creating an account accepts them.

01What Vilko is

A service that produces advertising videos from a description you give it: it writes the script, generates the picture with artificial intelligence, assembles the cut, composes the music and masters the audio.

Vilko is operated by Zuri Sasson Lobatón, an individual, from the State of Mexico, Mexico. If a company takes over operating it in the future, these terms will be updated with its registered name.

02Your account

You need a Google account to sign in. You are responsible for whatever happens from your account.

You must be of legal age and, if signing up on behalf of a company, authorized to bind it.

03Plans, video time and billing

What you pay for is finished video time. Each plan includes a number of seconds per month (for example, 30 seconds on Lite and 2 minutes on Pro) that you split however you like, and each piece deducts its length by the exact second: a 10-second video deducts 10 seconds. The same goes for every format: a narrated explainer also deducts what it lasts, and for now runs up to 2 minutes. Delivering a piece in another aspect ratio deducts the same time as the piece.

Time included in your plan renews with every monthly payment and does not roll over. Time you buy separately never expires.

Changes. Each piece includes changes at no cost that you request, measured in seconds of video that get regenerated: redoing only one part uses only that part, and how much is included depends on how long the piece is (the Review screen always shows how much you have left). If you want more, they use your plan's time. Fixes for technical failures never count, and neither do trims or changes to music, voice, text or color.

First month at a special price. Once per account, you can subscribe to the Lite plan paying a special price for the first month ($79 USD plus tax instead of $165 USD). When that first month ends, the subscription renews automatically every month at the regular Lite price ($165 USD plus tax) until you cancel.

Before producing anything we show you how much time it will use. We never generate without your approval.

Prices are in US dollars. Applicable taxes are added at checkout.

Cancellation and refunds. You can cancel anytime: cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you already paid for and you won't be charged for the next one. We don't refund periods already billed. The special-price first month is non-refundable once your first video has been produced. If a video isn't delivered because of a failure on our side, it isn't deducted from your plan or, if you paid for it separately, we refund that charge.

04The review guarantee

Every take is reviewed automatically before it reaches you. If it fails review, it is regenerated up to four times at no cost to you.

The guarantee covers technical failures: broken continuity, light that doesn't match the chosen look, impossible physics, illegible text, deformed anatomy, flicker and jumps.

It does not cover changing your mind. If the video is well made but you want a different idea, that uses time from your plan.

05Who owns the videos

You do. Once paid, the usage rights to the finished video are yours: use it in paid advertising, on your site, on television, anywhere, with no royalties to us.

What you upload (your logo, your photos, your brand) stays yours. You grant us permission to use it only to produce what you asked for.

A caveat about copyright and AI output: in several countries, including the United States, content created solely by a machine may not be registrable as a protected work. That does not stop you from using it commercially, but it may limit your ability to stop someone else from copying it. If that matters to you, consult your attorney.

06Music and material you bring

You can ask for your video to use a song of yours: upload it as a file or send us the link and we'll download it for you. Before it's used, you confirm you own the rights to that song or have permission from whoever does.

The same goes for everything you bring — songs, photos, videos, logos, text: you warrant you can use it and you release Vilko from any rights claim arising from it, including the cost of defending against one.

In "Transform your video" you upload clips you filmed for Vilko to apply effects to. Before starting, you confirm you filmed them or have permission to use them, and that the people in them agree to appear and to have it transformed. The effects change the setting, wardrobe, objects or style; they never swap anyone's face for someone else's.

Platforms (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook) detect copyrighted music and may mute, block or refuse to run your video as an ad. That depends on them and your licenses, not on Vilko.

If we receive a well-founded notice that something you brought infringes someone's rights, we may remove that material and the videos that use it.

07What you may not do

Generate sexual, violent, hateful or otherwise illegal content.

Impersonate a real person or use their likeness without permission.

Use third-party trademarks, logos or characters without authorization.

Create disinformation, or material that appears to be news or an official statement without being one.

Resell access to Vilko as your own, unless you're on the Agency plan, which permits it under your brand.

Attempt to break, overload or scrape the service.

If we detect any of these, we suspend the account without refund.

08Availability

We make reasonable efforts to keep Vilko running, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We depend on external generation providers that can fail or change their terms.

If an outage on our side prevents you from using videos you already paid for, we replace them.

09Limitation of liability

Vilko is provided as is. We do not guarantee you'll like any particular video or that it will generate sales.

Our maximum liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the last three months.

We are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, or the use you make of the videos.

10Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Mexican States. Any dispute is resolved in its courts.

11Changes

We may change these terms. If the change is material, we'll email you 30 days in advance. If you disagree, you can cancel.

Notice

This document is an operating draft, not legal advice. If anything here affects you materially, consult your attorney — and we'll do the same before we start charging.
